Watched This Morning with the transgender man who married his wife but still can't grasp who's who, anyone explain please

Wendy was married with children but left her husband as she realised she was a lesbian. I think this was over 20 years ago, I wasn't watching closely. She was happy with her new female partner and they married with a civil ceremony. Wendy felt that she was in the wrong body and so became a man, Wen. Wen then remarried his lesbian partner and they are now man and wife. Wen's adult children are happy with their dad-mum. I think that was the gist of the story.

Thanks carrot. I too find some of these situations confusing at times though- if the new wife is a lesbian I'm not sure why she is happy being married to someone who is now a man, but maybe love transcends all these matters

When some folk insist referring to other be the gender they feel they are, and wish they were, rather than the one they are, it's little wonder it gets confusing.

I don't watch daytime TV but it's my understanding they discuss all sorts - not sure if they touch on applied mathematics though.
