...or mine......

This week we were both wishing for rain to soak into our dry, dry gardens.......and I bought a cocoon swing chair with comfy cushions for the patio...wine and a good book.....bliss....

And it hasn't stopped raining since......the garden is lush but soaked....the patio is flooded.....and I'm tucked up in the sewing room with the heating on..... :-(

Bums...... :-(
We've had constant rain for 4 days from Sat onwards, so today is rather nice.
Back door open - if neighbour's cat pops in there will be fur flying, him and the moggy don't get on lol
Be careful what you wish for and all that :-) Monday was drizzly and so was Tuesday, today it has poured and poured, roads are flooded. My beautiful white clematis is hanging down and the flowers bent backwards from water won't recover. the lilac is bashed to pieces and the grass littered with blossom. At least the car looks cleaner :-)
raining all day, seems to have saved me some time by knocking down all the dead camellias. The garden does need it, so I will allow it to continue overnight.
Grrrrr - I could have done a 'big wash' at any time over the last week & it would have dried nicely on the line in the garden.

But I wasted my time doing more interesting things ... so today it could not be postponed any longer or I would be risking being 'smelly dave' as the socks and smalls ran out :(

Now my conservatory resembles the drying area of Mr Woo's Washhouse and the whole house is redolent with the aroma of damp washing :((

I was going to have curry for tea ... but that now seems unwise unless I want everything I wear for the next couple of weeks to smell of it :(((
We have also been having heavy rain thanks to tropical storm Arlene. The only good thing it is still hot and glad I packed my Regatta.
Someone has definitely been doing a rain dance around here.
hot and sunny here windows open !! sun shines down on the righteous..lol...well ..the not so bad..well..the lucky...lol
Yep OH has flown back from Glasgow this afternoon Minty. He rang from airport and said he was outside in short sleeves soaking up the sun. He's had a rude landing at Southampton though!
