Caravans

Ive just noticed that someone has mentioned having a caravan and taking off when and where they fancy. We used to have a touring van but gave up about five years ago and I really miss it at times.
Who has one and where do you go?
We took ours all round Europe and the uk and saw many places we would never otherwise have seen.

Yes, you did, can you not see that the drivers, who tow the vans, are also vaners?

We had a motorhome for about 10 years. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Went all over UK and lots of holidays abroad.
Went to France at least twice a year. To Spain and Germany. Really miss it. Had to give it up because OH was getting a bit too old and struggled with driving a big vehicle.

Caran....have you thought about getting on of those "surfers" VW campers ?

Not any more difficult to drive than an ordinary car and lots of fun !

Hi Mikey. We had a small motor home for the first year. It drove me mad having to make the beds up each night. I recently spotted a rather nice smaller m/h. I pointed it out to OH. He said definitely not. He is 80 this year so I do understand.
