Cooking for a squad of Afrikaan gamekeepers outdoors in 40 degrees C is utterly stoopid - how does this relate to UK cooking and finesse?

Have the producers lost it in the name of the drama?

Can we see the candidates catching a croc or elephant and cooking it?

No,they just like spending Licence-Payers money.

and so who goes tonight?
Does 'anyone' go tonight?
I agree...cooking in the sweltering heat seems a bit ott and irrelevant.

I would be scared serving that SA female guest with a rack like that!
They did very well.
They did well indeed but even the guy showing them the recipes in the National Park admitted that they wouldn't normally cook in that heat. And I was wondering how come all that meat/food was laying about for ages with no cool boxes etc..
It thought it was just a jolly as a reward for getting so far because no one actually wins a prize at the end.

I agree, smow....friends of mine would be freaking out, one of them was done for having mayo in the back of her van in London warmth, not what they were experiencing. Eccles would probably go ballistic.

sort out time is probably tomorrow night....
Yes, one goes out tomorrow then the final is between the last three on Friday.
I actually think they are all really lovely people this year - they all deserve to win but I think the judges favour Alison just a tad over the others.
I agree Smowball
Just like they did , with the winner of last years competition .

Yeah , the African trip was just a little goodie , for getting so far, as no one would be eliminated .
Thanks for the post, DTC. I cannot be asked to watch any of it. I totally agree with you. It would seem that the BBC have a desire to be outrageously searching for the most ridiculous ideas to ensnare viewers. Citius, Altius, Fortius, it is not.
I thought it was daft too. Standing over hot coals in that heat! Where's health & safety when you need it. I bet the gamekeepers don't eat like that every day though!

I think Saliha will go - and Alison will win.
I'm glad you've all said this as I recorded it, won't have to make the effort to watch. I never find the episodes when they're cooking for large numbers that interesting anyway.
Prudie, you are the antithesis of all spoiler moaners :)
Anyone on here ever seriously considered , entering the competition ?
