i vote by post as have mobility problems in case people think i
am lazy not going to the voting booths.
Too early. I've just sent off my application for a postal vote today.
Question Author
i usually get the vote papers early, so was expecting them soon.
Don't think they've been sent out yet.
Question Author
ok only don't want to miss my turn so to speak.
I believe that the closing date to register a postal vote in the June General Election is 23rd May. I suggest you contact your local registration office. You can find details by putting your postcode on:-

No, Emmie, it doesn't. Your ballot paper will arrive in plenty of time. I don't even know if the deadline for nominations has been reached yet.

thanks, thought that i would have to re register

Received a postal voting application form yesterday, never asked for it so it has been shredded, prefer to vote in person.
On the form there is an option to choose either a permanent postal vote or one for specific elections only. A lot of people like the ritual of going to the polling booth but may be away on holiday come the election.
I enjoyed voting this morning, as I always do.

I was lucky to meet one of my two labour candidates, and she gave me a large poster to put in my front window....should keep UKIP and the other Tories from darkening my door !

what is wrong with listening to what others have to say, UKIP or Tory, after all if you only listen to the Labour man or woman how can you get a balanced viewpoint.
No voting here, except for the mayor, and I wouldn't get out of bed for that.
Emmie.....I could listen to the Tories and UKIP all day long and it wouldn't persuade me to vote for them !
Question Author
a dyed in the wool Labour voter, mikey...
Emmie...yes, and I make no apology for that !
Yes
