A hatched baby? That's nice. Has it got any siblings?

Do you ever go out in the wilds looking for birds? I get gulls nesting nearby and they are very noisy. They drive the chap in my avatar demented every year.

No siblings yet, wolf.
I do go down to the site and watch the falcons when they've fledged. It's a wonderful sight, except if you're a pigeon.
Look at Tilly's post above about the eagle owls, they'll get rid of the gulls and probably your cat as well :-)

They are just glorified budgies - my cats could take them out no problem.

I'm in Perth and I believe that there are some birds of interest up here. I am more a mammal girl.

I handled a bird of prey (not sure what) years ago and was surprised at the power and strength that it had. Formidable and beautiful creatures.

Little brother (50 this year) is in Nottingham and I think that there are cameras at Trent uni.

Then there were 2:-)

Now we have three :-)

Are you counting eggs or hatched chicks?
Question Author
Hatched chicks, wolf. On a field trip yesterday the group saw 61 species of bird. A black necked grebe was the icing on the cake:-)
Duck pancake?
61......can you count that many, Melv?
Question Author
Leave the witticisms to me, Tilly :-)
I'll leave tho whole post to you.......Bye bye. :-P

Tilly flounces off sucking a rather large lemon:-)
I had a problem and it wasn't to do with a lemon.
Question Author
According to the blog the final number of chicks is going to be three. This has happened on two previous years.

Good field trip today. Pied flycatcher, redstart and 3 crossbills, including a magnificent male in full breeding plumage.
