My oh has low pain in his gut which I think is where the bladder is, he had an op on his bladder twenty years ago, could this pain come from scar tissue, he usually only gets it when lying down so lots of disturbed sleep and pain killers, one for sqad I think.

Possibly bladder stones

but definitely worth getting checked out with a GP anyway.
Certainly not enough information to come to any conclusion re. a diagnosis, but nothing serious stands out from what you have said.
What operation did he have on his bladder? For what bladder condition? Is he having any problems with his water works re going more often, pain on passing water, blood in the water? How old is he?
How long has this pain been present? Is it persistent or colicky.
He needs to see his GP.

He had an op for enlarged prostate and stones in the bladder, he is not having any trouble with his water works now, just this pain at night, he is 79, he had a scan a year ago but nothing showed up,
Yes...from what you have said, it could come from scar tissue.......I am not sure how long your OH has been suffering, but monitor the situation for the next couple of weeks and if it doesn't improve, then see your GP.
