Yes, if it is caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency

I don't understand hc. My GP said I am low on iron and I need iron tablets but I'm not anaemic. I always thought if you are on iron tablets, you must be anaemic. Where does vitamin B12 deficiency come into it?
Apologies! I read your question back to front (is it possible to be anaemic but not low on iron)

Sorry
Yes.

Lol hc, I realised after I had posted it that I should have worded it differently. :-)
Thanks for the link chelle, it's very informative and now I realise some of the problems I've been having, could be because I'm iron deficient.I noticed that it said Ferrous Fumarate is usually prescribed, which it was. Problem is, it gave me one of the unpleasant side effects so I stopped taking it. I'm going to read it again to see if there might be other options open for me hopefully in the diet.Best answer goes to you.x
