If a Will extends over more than one page, do the pages have to be attached to each other or left unattached.

No expert but: the copy of my will that I hold does not have the sheets attached to each other. I assume the one in the solicitor's safe hasn't also. Not sure it much matters.

From my distant legal studies I believe unattached. Otherwise it could be argued that pages had been removed.

I was asked to sign each page as a witness to a will recently...Scotland may be different ?

My will is only signed and witnessed on the last page but the pages are numbered and attached

Mine is only signed on the last page too.

When you send the will to probate they ask for it to be separate pages. If you have taken out a staple, you have to send a letter saying so.

It used to be the case that a Will had to be signed and witnessed on every page, but not anymore. Indeed, the signature does not actually need to be at the end (although it is invariably).

The pages do not have to be attached, but it is normal that they would be at least stapled together. Stapling only becomes an issue if the probate registry notice additional staple holes or holes that dont match.
