Is Britain Really A Free Nation Or Democracy?

In order not to apparently upset the legions of foreigners (yes, intended) particularly of a certain religion, allowed into Britain, it seems we are no longer free to say much of what we think and the UK's original religion Christianity is suppressed and gradually pushed out along with Christian celebrations such as Christmas and Easter. Sharia Law is increasingly allowed to exist alongside traditional British law. Only last year, Britain voted to leave the European Union, yet those who oppose that decision have been allowed to delay it and may yet overturn it. So is Britain really a free nation or democracy anymore, and will it ever return to being so?

Why do you believe everything you read on Facebook ?

Where to start? They most certainly did not invent the camera or even the camera obscura and the first fixed photograph was by William Fox Talbot at Laycock Abbey in Wiltshire, Daguerre in France also has a claim.
Neither myself or the link said he invented cameras did it?

It goes on to explain he was instrumental optics. I didn't get the link from FaceBook.

whilst Wiki isn't an exact font of all knowledge, it does confirm what the other link stated.

and they invented or advanced humanity by......0 why...because they cannot think or be allowed what's written in the koran the so called book of all knowledge for all manking forever, that is their handicap
there achilles heel, and will be until the many of that faith speak out
and say what is written is not correct and that it can be validated by science under scrutiny, nothing is so sacred that it cannot be shown to be false, the world is not flat mountains are not pegs holding down the earth. the educated muslim knows this..speak
Yes, we are still a Democracy, free to elect as many adolescents into Parliament as we wish. They can be seen playing games on their iPhone's during debates and presumably discussing their 5th form politics in the bars during intermissions. When speaking in public they repeat the party approved mantra on any given subject and on the rare occasions they stray from this they inevitably make a complete a se of it and keep the papers and Newsnight in business, like, sort of, kind of.

I am still waiting for Vernonk to answer my question of 18:47 on Friday !
Although atrocities are regularly carried out in the name of Islam and are broadcast rightly so, on our TVs and Radios, also reported on by our press, we are told by mikey that if we bring them on to AB we are just having another anti-Muslim rant.

Is he trying to stifle genuine debate, so that he himself can carry on with his anti-Tory, anti-UKIP, rants unheeded?
i don't think Mikey is trying to stifle debates, he has his viewpoint and one must respect that, as we all do on this site, at least i hope so.
emmie

I agree emmie we are all entitled to our own particular viewpoints but there is no need to call those one disagrees with 'RANTS'
AOG....I am calling this a anti-Muslim rant, because that is exactly what it is. If Vernonk wants to start an anti-Muslim thread, than he is entitled to do so.......I am not trying to stifle any debate.

But he included in his rant, daft remarks about the Christian Church that are entirely baseless. I have asked him to justify his remarks but so far, he has declined to do so....I live in hope !
