Over the past few weeks we have seen much the 'green' policies forced on us exposed as absolute rubbish and lies, now looks like now the anti car measures are also a load of old pony.

What green policies have been forced on us has been exposed as rubbish and lies please?
Most of them have already gone where I live.

I assumed it was because they seemed more prone to potholes so it was cheaper to just take them out.

well how about Tony Blair's "diesel cars are greener" policy?
or the NI renewable heat initiative?
Well the diesel cars policy was based on the scientific evidence available at the time.
The NI renewable energy hasn't failed because it turns out to be lies its failed because Stormont failed to put a cap on what can be claimed!
.....and converting Drax power station to burn biomass, which is expensively transported from the USA and costs much more in CO2 emissions than the allegedly un-green coal it replaced, and the trees cleared for biomass will take 70 years to regrow, only being "renewable" many years after they were supposed to offset the CO2 produced from burning the pellets?
and don't get me started on biofuel - unless you believe killing orang-utans is greener than burning fossil fuels?
been saying that for years YMB, breaking/accelerating uses more fuel, simples.

Kin Diesel? disgusting! load of old pony as you say YMB
lecky? wastes 80% hydrogen wastes 96% of the energy. Gawd elp us!
Speed bumps are there for a very good reason....its to slow people down in built-up areas. We have them in my street and its had exactly the desired effect. Without them, and the road would revert back to the race track that it was 10 years ago.
Mikey - the removal of them doesn't seem to have made a difference round here.

//Without them, and the road would revert back to the race track that it was 10 years ago//

Maybe, but it would have much cleaner air!
