divebuddy, I agree. I wouldn’t go to see him if I was paid to go - not because I'm sensitive, but because I think he's an idiot..
I also agree with divebuddy's point - modern stand-up comedians skate close to the edge - it's mandatory, and as I have advised, I don't find any of them funny.

But I would certainly get an idea of who I was going to see before I bought tickets, and even the most cursory net search would advise you not to pay to see Ricky Gervais if you are easily offended.
