Has anyone ever used weight loss pills in order to get rid of the flab. I'm about 4 stone overweight due to giving up smoking last year.

I was just browsing the Argos catalogue and there are several "fat busting" pills for sale.

Any comments on them ?.....i'm starting to get desperate as i can't seem to stick to any diet as i just love food and a few beers....although i appreciate i would have to revise my dietry intake !!!

Don't waste your money. The only way to lose weight (and believe me I know, I have done it several times) is to cut calories and excercise. Try joining a slimming class if you canT manage it alone. Weight Watchers are online. Best of Luck.
Also like to add, it is not the losing it which is hard, although that is hard enough. It is keeping it off which is harder and slimming pills won't educate you to eat sensibly. Now back to my popcorn.
You really need to change your eating habits for the rest of your life, its a big thing to do. If you do this fad thing where you go on and off a diet, you will find your problems are just beginning. Take some serious time to think this through and make the decision to change your life for good.
maggie01 is spot on. Weight Watchers are fab. Nothing is off limit as long as its within your points allowance. I (so far) lost 43lbs (since February) and its still coming off. Just change the way you eat, keep it reasonably low fat and do a bit of exercise. If you can get to a meeting you should try it - everyone is really supportive. Do you think I should get a job as their PR?!! lol
Joking aside go for it and good luck x
They don't work.
Change diet and excercise.
If weight loss pills worked, they would be prescribed by GPs. There are pills available on prescription but they have nasty side effects such as oily stools and incontinence. Diet and exercise is the way to go. If I didnt exercise I think I would be quite large!!
Go to your GP. Most surgeries now have a a GP practice nurse who will give you support and tips on how to lose weight They put you into a programme whereby you go every fortnight to be weighed.I did it and it's the best thing I could have done She was very supportive ..Have now lost three stone, back to my normal weight for my height and build and feel much better.Alcohol is very fattening..it's just empty calories.Don't waste your money on these tablets. Cut out the saturated fat ,eat more fruit and veg, don't snack between meals ,eat porridge for breakfast. Combine this with walking and swimming and it will drop off.You have to put your mind to it.I could never go back to stuffing my face with cakes and pastries .Absolutely wonderful to be able to go and buy a size 12 pair of jeans ..much nicer than a chocolate bar !!
I went on tabs Phentamin, Perfectly legal lost loads of weight, and then kept it off. No health problems since and well worth the money...
i tried one from argos it was a waste of money stopped my periods aswell they are not good! i suggest something like a slimming club if not do it with a friend
First of all, congratulations on giving up smoking.

You can get tablets from the doctors and if you're desperate it may help kickstart you, but as everyone's said, exercise and healthy eating is the answer.

Have you tried sugar-free chewing gum to give you something to chew on, but without the calories.
Phase 2 work for me, follow a healthy calorie diet, exercise (i'm meant to say ha !) I do try ! but these tablets are starch blockers, and if taken before i carbohydrate meal, absorb and pass through 66% of calories, at my 2 thinnest times in the past year (its not easy to rememeber all the time) i was taking these, and dont worry they are totally natural and made from a white bean thats been tested and proved to absorb these calories, no bull, they work for me, a carb lover unfortunatly !
Just try it for know more about weight loss and best and effective pills for weight loss. Thanks Media URL: http://www.thinreport.com/slim-shots.html
