Afternoon!

Last month's thread: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1538043.html

We're all losers here - looking at where the thread ended up!

Personally, I am slowly dropping weight, but have been off the running for a week after a bit of a tumble during a run! I survived, but it was fatal to my phone. Tragic, I am sure you'll agree. Who said running is good for you? :)

Wow. I'd feel starving all day on that. Perhaps you get used to it, but it must risk your metabolism going into starvation mode.
Good morning all, short and sweet.....I forgot!
Down a whole 0.2 lbs.
Yay...

(Lost twice that over the last 24 hours.)
OG - you could pee that out.

Stop weighing yourself daily!!
Good Morning all its a stay the same again .ok with that .
OG the problem is I don't have a normal stomach anymore therefore my calorie intake will be a lot lower although it should increase eventually to about 800.
Ah, thanks for the clarification.
Due to a drop of 1.6 lbs over the last 24 hours, I'm allegedly down 1.2 lbs over the week ?!?
OG you have been told before you are getting false readings weighing so much.
It is not healthy, best thing you can do is lock away the scales and weigh once a fortnight.
Islam it sounds like you are shaking your finger at OG. Tsh, tsh, we don't do that on here. What is right for me may not be right for you so to each his own. You're quite new in our little club so you haven't had the time to find our "music" yet. I hope you don't mind me saying this. OG is one of our longest standing members and this is the way he does it.
xstitcher - with all due respect Islay is only advising. Same advise I, and others, have gave him.

Put it to the test. Weigh yourself first thing in the morning, then weigh yourself before you go to bed.
Whoops, sorry for the spelling error Islay.
As I said this is the way OG prefers as we found out long ago, so there is no point in keeping at it. I hope you will understand ummmm.
:-)
I will second that for xstitcher . OG Has been with us for a few years .we tried to no success to change how he weighs but this is how he prefers to do it . Sometimes he puts my head in a spin with his calculations lol
No change for me still the same .
I understand.
:-)

Actually I like that advice; from now on I'll weigh myself first thing in the morning, and then again before I go to bed. I'll be able to keep closer tabs on how things are going.

Or maybe after every meal is a better idea ?
If you want to weigh yourself daily do it several times and see the difference.

It might make you realise you aren't actually recording an accurate weight.

I haven't weighed myself in about 2 years. I go by my clothes.
That's kind of you to offer, but I think your clothes might be a bit tight on me.
I don't know what size you are :-)

I only really joined the thread to follow Islay's progress after her surgery.

Did you take up any exercise, OG?

Sorry Xstitcher I certainly was not tell him off but don't worry I won't be posting on your little club again.
No. It's been quite a few years since I last did regular exercise, and since getting out of the rat race I have less need to walk from place to place any more. Truth be known I'm having difficulty being enthusiastic about it or anything else at the moment. I'm telling myself that will change when the weather gets better. I tend to be more alert and happy to get on when the summer is near.
