AOG - // ... gracefully ... //

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Enough is enough.
andy-hughes, //It would be wonderful to think that such subtleties would be even noticed, much less accepted, but on this thread, you've more chance of plaiting fog! //

It didn't go unnoticed - at least by me and a few others - but it's irrelevant to the thread.
Naomi - /// ... but it's irrelevant to the thread. //

What is or is not relevant to the thread is not your decision to make.

You can offer it as a view, but you should not state it as a fact, it is not a fact, merely a view.
andy-hughes, it’s my decision whether I consider it worth commenting on - and I didn’t. The people there are objecting to a mosque being built, regardless of the flavour of Muslim who will use it. Actually, knowing that you think the overwhelming majority of Muslims are “peaceable and able to live and work with western society” I’m surprised you think it’s relevant…. but there you go. No accounting.

I have no particular opinion either way as to its relevance, and if I did, I would offer it as a view, and not state it as a fact.

That's just one of the differences between us - you think you are an authority, I just have an opinion.
andy-hughes, //I just have an opinion.//

For once we agree.
Naomi - // ...you think you are an authority ... //

Do we agree on that as well?
andy-hughes, Mmm… .. well…. you’ve told me that you think I think I’m an authority, but I don’t know whether you think I'm an authority or not, so I can’t say whether I agree with you or not. And if anyone recognises shades of Round the Horne’s Julian and Sandy in that sentence, they’d be right. This is all just as nonsensical.

Oh, I do apologise, so let's get this right, when you and Andy-Hughes are taking part in a boring to other ABers exchange of views, it is a conversation, yet when it is between Andy Hughes and myself it is a slanging match of which we are both as bad as each other.

Please do not preach to others what you don't practice yourself
aog, there's no slanging match going on here. Thanks for the apology anyway.
AOG - you're not talking to me - remember?

Don't bring me into your sad endless spats.
