for 2 weeks, is what a doctor told me yesterday, as it was on the low side, about 105/70.

Its just my opinion, but I have been on Lisinopril for years, so wouldn't it be better if it was every other day.

The female doctor was a trainee type from India, only about 25yrs old.

Good point trt.....either half the dose every day, which in my opinion is the better option OR as you suggest, take the normal dose on alternate days.

Oh my!

And you are better qualified as are anonymous ABers to advise?
EcclesCake, I have taken Lisinopril for some years and if a Doctor of any age, sex, etc had suggested this I would also be looking for a second opinion.

Why did you seek the advice of "anonymous ABers?
Fair point Sqad, however my point was regarding the age, ethnicity and gender of the physician.

;-) O.K
I chop a pill in half with a pill cutter, if you have a large supply and want to do the same, you can use a pill cutter;

There may well be a reason why medication is taken daily , if you wish to query the gp's advice, return to or telephone them. Maybe the gp you saw was In fact quite knowledgeable , re 25years and Indian, :-(
Just a small point..........in my opinion, 105/70 is a normal reading.
I can understand why you feel the need to taper the dose, but if you are being asked to return for a re check in two weeks time remember to tell the Doctor you have continued on a lowered dose and not stopped completely.
