Late afternoon saw us in the summerhouse sipping first a Moscow mule..which is delicious..followed by a dark and stormy, recommended by a friend, which is a Moscow mule made with dark rum instead of vodka, and is even more delicious, and rather surprising given that I don't like dark rum.
I'm after buying some decent dark rum, does anyone have any recommendations? The half bottle I've been using is captain morgans which was bought to set fire to the Christmas pud in 2015.
Thanks.

Ooh, I've just had a look at it, seems a shame to put it in a cocktail really. Might have to buy a bottle and sample it before adding anything..
Morgan's is ok. Especially if you baulk at putting anything special in your cocktail.
I got a dark rum from Aldi for my rum and raisin ice cream. I gave my friend a glass and she said it was really good rum. I think it was about £9 a bottle
that reminds me, i was going to make rum and raisin fudge
