Fake news.
all the papers have picked it up, SP - do you have a link confirming that its fake?
I think they should be truly democratic and introduce a nice tartan for everybody.

Ridiculous....shouldn't the libtards be encouraging the servicemen to wear frocks or skirts?
When I served in the RAF we still had the Woman's Royal Air Force (WRAF) as a separate entity. In those days they were more enlightened as they could wear a skirt or trousers as a matter of choice.
Fair enough as long as they ban them for men as well.
Raf to issue female service women with trousers, big deal.
It's the reasoning behind the decision that's important. Another example of the Majority made to conform to the "needs" of a minority.
Not really, trans people can wear skirts.
Would not be the first British soldiers in a skirt would they?
the majority are still male, so now the minority of women are being made to conform. So that's okay then.

Of course within 20 years they'll all be wearing hijabs.
How times change! When I started work with a big manufacturing company back in the early 70s women were not allowed to wear trousers. I rebelled one day and guess what - nobody said a word so I continued to do so.

"Female Service Women"

Is there any other kind?

lmao. start running
did you just assume their gender, Baldric?
mushroom, I think Baldric is suggesting that you only need to say "female" or "women". Though as the story is about trans people, I'm not sure if that's right any more.
I don't understand why they would want to wear a skirt - not exactly practical if you are doing 'military' stuff.

I remember seeing a Police Lady (back in the days when they carried handbags) trying to climb over a fence in a skirt. She got over - eventually.

The story is about the Skirt Ban, the reason for which is given as
\\\so transgender personnel don't feel excluded\\\

///The RAF has banned servicewomen from wearing skirts on parade so that transgender personnel don't feel excluded
One furious servicewoman fumed: 'Everyone's livid. We've been wearing skirts since World War II. It feels like political correctness. The world's going mad'///

wolf, if you take the keys out of the ignition of a jet plane, it's easier to find them again if you've put them on your skirt rather than dropping them on to trousers and have them falling on the floor. Those few seconds may be vital in times of war.

^^^ also you could use stockings as a fanbelt!
