Morning gang.
Before I go roaming the web I would welcome the insight and expertise of ABers.
Off for a jaunt to London in 4 weeks for a 3 night stay and it's eons since I've been. Could anyone recommended the best options for getting about i. e. Oyster card or similar?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

if you have a contactless credit card, just use that. fares available are the same as those charged to an oyster card.

Thanks to all. Anyone recommend a really good bus app out of the multitudes out there, perchance?
^ Installed recently, used almost daily. Times are accurate:

As has been said, you simply need a contactless debit card in order to pay the lowest fares.

Forget apps. Services throughout central London all run every few minutes (with digital displays at bus stops, telling you when the next one will arrive), so you just need a good old-fashioned map to ensure that you're on the right route. You can pick one of these up at any Tube station:
