I am due a phone upgrade. I can choose an iPhone 7 or a Galaxy Edge 7
I know very little about either, anyone got a recommendation?

if you don't care about having a fancy phone, you'd be better off bgetting something far less flashy and paying much less!

You probably know this already but the only real clincher is whether you already have lots of stuff on one platform or the other which would make choice of the other problematic. If you don't have a smartphone at all then I'd highly recommend one or the other :-)
I have one and it's unbelievably useful for lots of things

Thanks good answers, I already have the Galaxy 5. Think I will go for the Galaxy 7. It is more than I need and I use few of the features but my son pays for it as a gift to his Dad.

Personally, I would go for the iPhone every time. I have been an iPhone user for over 10 years now, and have been more than contented. They are intuitive and just seem to get on with the job in hand.

I am sure that Samsung and other android phones do the same, but I am used to iPhones now and wouldn't change and go over to the dark side now !
