Teaching! Many years ago a young man turned up for interview for a teaching job in a school in Durham. He faced the board of governors (local councillors).

Q1 What makes you think you can do this job?
A1 I am an M.A(Oxon), Ph.D (Cantab).

Q2 Which chapel do you go to?
A2 I don't, I'm agnostic.

Q3 Which branch of the Co-op are you registered?
A3 I'm not.
Q4. Which branch of the Labour Party are you in?

A4 I'm apolitical.

Q5 Why have you come here to waste our time when you have no qualifications?
