On meeting a ( male or female ) methodist Minister for the first time at a funeral in England, what is the correct formal way to address him or her ?
I get the idea that "Reverend" is not correct - or correct only in some parts of the US.

Mr. or Mrs (Miss), followed by name, otherwise Minister.

Reverend is incorrect. It is only used when referring to someone in the third person, never when addressing him/her.
