Believe I have posted this on here before, but why is it that some people after posting a question asking for advice/help, never bother to reply with a word of thanks to those bothering to help ?? Annoys me. Rant over.

This is my bete noir of AB. It is extremely rude and if a member continues to offer a simple "thanks" I do not answer any more of his/her questions. I consider that to be their loss and not mine. I have been told that i am arrogant and "up my own @rse" when complaining about their bad manners.

Joll - the thyroid surgeon d.1948 - my mother was his houseman - was known as Gentle Jesus as a result of his expetives ....

His list ( according to his obit April 1948 in the BMJ ) was often ten thyroidectomies
( more than one theatre and an army of juniors doing the preliminary dissection )
Agree.....It only takes a minute to post a proper thank you here.....I do what Sqad does and if they don't answer or just put ''thanks' on it, I wouldn't help them again, even if I know the answer, and in my specialist subjects, I normally do.
Over an hour since posting and not even a reply from the OP?

I'm outraged!
As you should be B00. you're scary though ;-)
I rarely post a reply that deserves anything other than a simple 'ta' - but some do post hugely helpful replies based on research or experience etc.

I feel they deserve at least to know their input has been seen and if it was helpful then a thank you too.
I sometimes forget I've asked a question.

Some people ask the same question on multiple sites so probably say thanks on the site that answered their question first.
perhaps the answer turned out to be wrong and the questioner ended up worse than before but is too polite to say so. This has happened to me (my question, not my answer).
