Surely most news outlets now should be treated with suspicion? The Daily Mail may have its faults, but surely it's no worse than other Fleet Street publications?

Guardian alos has it's issues too.

Yes, like misprints. LOL.
No, the mail is the same as all other media, they pick stories that support their general slant.
I am wth JennyKenny here.

The DM we see today, is a far cry from the campaigning newspaper that did such a sterling job in the Stephen Lawrence affair, a job that I have always praised them for.

But the DM is only fulfilling its appointed task. Its the official organ of the Tory Party, for those Tory supporters that find the Telegraph perhaps a bit too difficult.

It just reinforces the prejudices that its readers already have.

Unlike the Guardian.
Wikipedia has announced that it does indeed have a political agenda, and is not the unbiased fact based organisation that it would have you believe it is. It relies on voluntary support to maintain it's presence, but has just alienated a goodly portion of that support.

Now why does not that surprise me?

The Daily Mail continuously campaigns on certain issues, but then you seem to forget them.

Official organ of the Tory party? don't make me laugh.

Unlike left wing papers the Mail is not slow in slagging off our governments or any of it's leaders, no matter what party they belong to, if the need so arises.

You Just can't help but get in your nasty snide remarks can you?
AOG...I am sure it doesn't surprise you, as I have often praised the DM in the past for its stand on the Lawrence case.

On other issues it really is as I say....just reinforces the same old prejudices that its readers have.....why else would they read the DM ?

Simply because it's the same reason that trump made President or Nigel Farage is so popular, they are a breath of fresh air to those who are fed up to the back teeth with the usual rhetoric that the 'Establishment' and their propaganda sources, try to brain wash us on a regular basis.
AOG....I have heard Trump and Farage called a lot of things before, but never "fresh air" ?
Well I check its on-line output every day, and I can honesyly say I have never had any issues with the veracity of its material.

If it says "So-and-so" is 'flashing her abs / toned body / gym legs / fabulous cleavage / rock hard abs / bikini body and so on ad nauseum, then I am delighted to accept that as true, especially since they usually have plenty of pictures to back up that information.

The fact that in terms of information I might even vaguely need to know in my sleep, this is less that utterly useless, is really just being picky.

(Since I have a history of being misunderstood when making reference to this sort of nonsense, please let me point out right now that I am being sarcastic / ironic / non-serious / vaguely humorous etc. etc. in order to head off the mountain of nonsense I got last time, before it starts. Thank you. )
Farage popular and fresh air?

Then why is he marginally just behind Lord Sutch of the Monster Raving Looney Party as the most failed Parliamentary candidate?
Is there such a thing these days as a fair honest good reliable newspaper? Each has it's own spin and bias towards some political leaning each has it's own party support and sponsors.

Similarly a left winger on here will *** off the Mail and Telegraph a right winger the Guardian and Independent, problem is that none of them report the simple truth any more so no not reliable in any way shape or form. Only thing newspapers are any good for these days is the puzzle sections
