Does anyone remember a song by possibly a rap band - they may have appeared on The Word (tv show) which had the lyrics 'If you don't come in peace, you leave in pieces / the plural of mouse is not meeses'.

Maybe not. i can't find your lyrics in there!

Have a listen- doesn't mention mouse/meeses I don't think- but does rhyme leave in pieces with polices
Let me know if this isn't it and I'll think again. Your lyric is the sort of lyric Goldie Looking Chain used to come up with. How long ago did you see this on The Word?

Hi Fiction Factory. Thanks for yr suggestions. That Big Pun track is good anyway so I'm happy to have discovered that. I think the song I'm thinking of comes from the 90s. The reason I thought to ask is cos another song I'd never been able to track down was 'answered' on this site (The Whistler by Honky) so I thought I'd give this other one a go.

I'm not 100% sure it was from The Word although it is the sort of thing they'd have played. I think they were a sort of multicultural/multigender rap-type group that were big at that time. Like Arrested Development. I'm pretty sure there was both women and men singing on that line I was asking about.
