Donny, that is why I prefer cryptics. they keep the little grey cells working.
Just joshing, Ozzy.
It is the process of working out the answer, or having the answer then making the parsing, that to me is the enjoyment. Upon retirement I found I needed a task for my little grey cells too.
Hee hee Tilly.

Me too Danny, if you don't know the answer in a cryptic at least the clue is directing you to the answer.

Only problem is how cryptic the setter is.
I have some little Braintraining books. I try to do one of the puzzles every day.
The only ones I avoid are the Sudoku ones. I don't like those.
I do Sudokus Tilly, quite enjoy them.....but.....Mrs Oz absolutely kills the ones I can't do.

Might stick to crosswords in future.
I just don't have the knack of doing them, Ozzy.
Process of elimination Tilly.

That's where I make a mess of them.
...and me. Grrrr!
Had a go at sudokus but I found them a bit boring.
Try some harder ones Danny.
I don't like wordsearches either.
It wasn't that they were easy just that I found the format boring.I suppose I just like working with words rather than numbers.
I prefer words over numbers Danny.

But, if I'm bored enough then any puzzle will occupy my mind.
