....the pub in the next village did a Burns Breakfast and Brunch in aid of a local charity....I had the brunch.....which is really breakfast for me....

The haggis was delicious.....my first this year.....in fact the whole experience was perfect....including the young staff who were so busy yet cheery and friendly.....☺

There was an art in timing one's shopping visits, gness :)

Funnily enough more men than usual were willing to do the butcher's run in those weeks - and were, of course, sold all sorts of wonderful cuts that their wives would never have bought ...

Oh I can well imagine what tipsy men brought home......MrG was sent to the butcher for Sunday's roast.....came home with a sick tree he felt sorry for...x
Oh,I love haggis! I only had it for the first time about 3 years ago...yummm
On the list of reasons not to go back to the US is...you can't get proper haggis there!
