Yes you can crush them and use them instead of a biscuit base for cheesecakes

Lol Douglas. They are good crumbled up and added to a rhubarb or apple crumble.

Altho my imagination is not great re baking etc did think of the crumble. Saw a nice buttery one in M&S but am going to try the custard recipe from here but will wait until I have company who will appreciate it.
If you use M&S Jenny the little individual ones are great filled with M&S creme patissiere, then decorated with strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, kiwi, pineapple or whatever you fancy. Especially in the summer.
Chuck them out for the birds - they're rubbish. You can't beat home-made pastry.
Mix with Pollyfiller & use for filling gaps & holes.

You can,....... by about 2 hours especially on a hot summer day. :))
Togo - it takes 5 minutes to make pastry and 15 minutes to bake blind in oven.
JJ didn't ask how to make pastry and it's not good to throw food away.
