nothing against them but have you noticed how many ginger haired kids/people there are in adverts? Some are the same ones, but there are a lot of them all of a sudden - are they trying to be politically correct (or are they taking over?)

Always loved ginger hair - in fact I married a ginger. However, none of my three children inherited it. I thought one had, but she turned dark by the age of 1.
Me too!
I coloured it for a year or two many moons ago. But eventually said " oh ***!"...and learned to like it. My late sister coloured her hair when she was in her 50s...approximately the same colour as mine is now. We three siblings all had dark red hair. My daughter was a blonde baby who turned mousy brown. Her hair has been coloured very dark brown for years...she looks Greek or Mediterranean...
I've never given much thought to strawberry blonde, Clover.....I suppose because my hair was a dark red.......I would get called goldilocks at times so I suppose there was some blonde in it.
It's only now as it's fading that folk like my hairdresser mention strawberry blonde.....

I would have been just as happy to have been a true ginger.....I love red hair of all shades.......x
I used to get called Duracell - the one with the copper coloured top!!!!

Hey...you posted as I was typing, Pasta.....sisters?....Maybe a dad with a bicycle.......//

Were you born in Brooklyn?

My nickname in school...aside from the usual " carrot top "... was " ketchup head". It was OK...I had a crush on the boy.
I love red hair too. I used to henna my hair as a teenager. Now I choose reddish brown to cover my greys! I think I must have been jealous of my sister.
No, Pasta......but I have a blood disorder found in Mediterranean countries so that explains my hair and colouring I think....my brother and sister have jet black hair like my mother....when we went back to my mum's part of Ireland folk would look at the three of us and say....

Jeez, Aggie....where in the name of god did you get the redhead?!

I'm not sure where mine came from. Italian mum...I don't remember detecting any auburn in her hair. English/Irish descent father...born very blond...went very dark as an adult. Also went nut brown in the summer. Rumours of native American genes somewhere...
Mine came from my father, Pasta.....south west of Ireland....lots of us there with this colour hair......I think there must have been a ship from the med wrecked many years ago......☺
Mine and my mum's are the same as yours and pasta's, gness x
There you go, Pixie!....Special too.......☺
Lol :-) xx

My children are all different shades of red or blonde. My oldest daughter dyes hers black- she hates it because it made her stand out at school, so they could see her smoking behind the shed a mile off....
