A friend gave me a great fake fur coat.
I love it, but it could do with a little 'refreshing'.
Do you think if I sprinkled talc over it and then gave it a good shaking, that would do?
Or any other suggestions?

If it is fake fur, you might be able to wash it. I used to wash mine at 30 degrees and it was fine. Is there a label inside that gives any indication of cleaning instructions?

Chanel5, interestingly it is reversible. So far haven't discovered any labels.
But thanks anyway.

Sherry
Have to admit I would be scared to wash it but I'll give it a go if things don't improve in the next few months.

I get the impression that it was rather expensive, and not something I can bung in a sink.
It is certainly beautifully made, and looks like something Joan Crawford might have slung over her shoulder. So will hold off on the washing bit for the moment. But thanks anyway.
