My BT box appears to be broken. On the tv it just gives a continuous message of 'no signal' but I can access the Internet with my iPad no problem.
The BT box has no lights showing as working, just the noise of the fan inside whirring.
Have (foolishly) tried to find out the problem on the BT web page but it just sends me round and round in circles making me insane with rage.
Has anyone got a phone number for them, or any other possible solutions??
Thanks.

Have you tried turning it off, waiting for 30 seconds and then turning it back on?

Chrissa many many times. (I'm assuming you're not trying to be sarcastic.)

Thanks ubasses. Am in bed now. Will give it a go tomorrow.
It's amazing how many problems can be solved by a simple power down then restart.
No I wasn't, jk. It usually worked with mine.

I've just changed from BT and gone to EE. Exactly the same deal but at half the cost, per month.
Question Author
Thanks chrissa will investigate EE.
I don't know if this will work but turning off your Smart Set up on your BT box can sometimes help. Smart set up is explained in the link, with a very easy explanation how to disable it. You can also turn it backon easily its literally a tick box on/off

Sherry what is Smart setup?

Ubasses many thanks for your help.
A long tooth-drawing session with BT has resulted in them having to send me a new box.
Question Author
Sherry had a look at the link you gave me but my iPad wouldn't accept the long string of numbers to make a connection anyway.
Question Author
Recordings.
BT keep telling me verbally and by email to watch any recordings I have on the old box as I won't be able to transfer them them over to the new box. I understand I can't transfer them but how do they believe I can watch my old recordings if the BT box is broken??
Thanks
