For some time now I've been suffering from stiff joints and muscle aches all over my body. I get back ache frequently and my knees hurt when I kneel down. I also find it difficult to get up from the floor because of the back pain and knee pains. My joints are mainly stiff first thing in the morning when I get out of bed. I also get the occasional numbness in my hands/arms.

This together with the constant need to pee and frequent abdominal pains/IBS is causing me problems when carrying out the simplest of tasks like housework and also playing with my son.

I've booked an appointment with my GP tomorrow but would like some ABers opinions please. Thanks

GP should do full immunological profile. Early morning pain and stiffness is a sign of inflammatory arthritis, among other things.

Any swelling or tenderness of the small joints?

I don't get any swelling of joints.

Recently the stiffness has been continuing during the day although its much worse first thing.
That does sound very rheumatoid-like. You GP will organise the appropriate investigations.
I agree with NoMercy's post.
