In spite of a heavy blanket of cloud, Jupiter and Mars seem particularly bright in the sky tonight

Venus . . . and Mars?

I thought I saw Venus earlier. It was very bright. The sky was too light to let the other stars show, so Venus stood out.

Jupiter comes up a bit later, I think. It's Venus you can see.

It's as black as your hat here....a real pea-souper....

I went into garden earlier and was noticing Venus too. Beautiful.
