For that notion to work, you need to pre-suppose a belief in God in the first place.

I am untroubled by the concept, so I can add my thoughts to hereIam's, and hope that the lady is going to turn her life around.

trt - Indeed it is, which is why I have written posts entirely about Karen Mathews, her redemption prospects, and also contributed to the wider debate about the ethics of forgiveness.

I fully appreciate the deviation from the topic of a thread can lead to all sorts of trouble, but speaking personally, I don't believe I have done that.

I am sure Mr Pedant can speak for himself if he so wishes.
