Halfords...where Are All Your Staff ?

I went to buy a new Sat Nav today, and went to Halfords first. To cut a long story short, I and 4 other customers waited around for someone to serve us.
I waited at least 10 mins but it was like the Marie Celeste !
So I walked about 300 metres, to Maplins, and what a change. Knowledgeable and very attentive staff. The young chap who served me couldn't have been more helpful. The Garmin model I wanted was £5:00 more expensive but I gave Maplins my money.
I have been using Maplins for all sorts of things, for years and I should really have gone there to start with. ( batteries very good value there, by the way )

I was in my local Halfords waiting to be served, one member of staff was with a customer and another member of staff was discussing stock with a third member. The third member then wandered off and the now free member, instead of serving me, pulled out his phone and contacted his wife/girl friend/boy friend, not sure which but he said hello love....Didn't hear anymore as I went down the road and purchased elsewhere.
