My FIL is golf mad and I thought it might possibly be a good idea to get him tickets for a future golfing tournament?? Anything coming up that tickets are available for??

The Open is at Royal Birkdale in July......if tickets are available. Before that the Scottish Open from the Dundonald links in Ayrshire for the first time, lovely course that it is. It's near Irvine....not she of Hazel fame.

The Ladies are very good - Charley Hull won her first US tournament yesterday at age 20 - and the tickets are cheaper - she plays in the European tour as well.

Smowball, if your FIL lives near you, then the BMW PGA Championship, held at Wentworth, from 25th to 28th May 2017, may be a cheaper and more accessible option than either the Scottish Open or The Open.

If Smowball is thinking of a Christmas prezzie for her FIL, it might not be possible to get tickets for the BMW tournament in time:
"Tickets for the 2017 BMW PGA Championships are expected to be available in the Ticket Shop from the end of 2016"
