Bail? (on wicket)
-- answer removed --
Question Author
Bail, as in "the suspect was released on bail"?
Or, does the word "Bail" have another meaning?
A bail is one of the two pieces placed on top of the stumps (wicket) in cricket, and wicked sounds like wicket.
Question Author
Ah, I see. I was unaware of the sporting analogy not being a follower of Cricket. Thank you very much.
