I have written several children's books/stories, age range 5-8 years and some of those sent have been rejected by commercial publishers.
So, I would like to self-publish by putting the stories onto Kindle, but I have been told that they would need to have illustrations. I can no longer do illustrations (for obvious reasons for those who know of me), so I wondered if anyone out there in AB land would like to or wish to collaborate by illustrating my stories and we could work out a working "contract". I can't afford a professional illustrator, but if anyone wants to have a go or knows of anyone who would or could help, then let me know and we'll take it from there.
How's that sound? Ta Muchly.

Oh that's sad but hopefully someone else may be able to help or know someone who can.
Perhaps I should explain, I offered my voice to narrate a book for woody. While practicing my best speaking voice, the icecream man came up my road :0?
Woody, you got the edited version ... ha ha x
Woodelf - I know of an art student down here and she's very cute and charming - I too have a book for 4-6 year olds that needs illustrations (what happens to trees after Christmas) and am sounding her out as to project work....interested?
' and she's very cute and charming'..........but can she draw?
Dt, your book sounds great.
I've answered on mamya's thread now, but i've emailed a couple of people and will let you know if there's anything helpful xx
Nearer Christmas, I may offer it to you good folk if you have wee ones who believe in Santa (you could be an adult child as well).....a question of letting me know the name(s) of your loved ones and I'll 'find and paste' their names in and send as an Acrobat file....(copyright and all that).
yes Tilly, she's in a Foundation year for Falmouth Art School, one of the country's best......
specialising in kids' books illustrations.....
Dt, I'd love that! Or rather my grandaughter would, thank you.
......and cute and charming as well? That's a bonus.
it's nice to see in the next generation and I can see a strong empathy to kids, Tilly - why the cynicism, if I am not mistaken?
Good for her, brains and beauty Tilly! x
DTC, to be honest , it just annoyed me that you described her as 'cute and charming'.....somehow it just grated on me.
I meant it from a personality perspective, Tilly, an empathy for the younger generation - summing it up in just three words......what do you want, a resumé, references and a psychological assessment - sorry, but you have irked me, as well.....
Ok, DTC, we are now quits.
