Drawer Sliding Open In Dvd Player

I have a charity shop DVD Player which worked fine for six months and now the drawer slides open every time I put a disc in. Not worth taking it back but is there any remedy for this or should I just buy a new one?

It could be caused by any one of a number of faults. As you can buy a brand new one (with a full warranty) for less than 25 quid, I'd just bin it.

I took it back to the charity shop to see if they had any ideas. The assistant blew strongly into the drawer and a piece of fluff flew out.
Had worked perfectly ever since.
