Does anyone have a wraparound or bolster dog bed which can be successfully dried in a tumble dryer after washing?
By wraparound and bolster I mean a bed with raised back and sides.

I'm in the market for one and would love to hear if anyone has personal experience of buying/using one.

Thanks.

If you find one please let me know as the ones I have bought the stuffing has always shifted.

I now have raised beds and fleece blankets as the blankets wash so easily.

Will do Islay!

The beds I have at the minute can go through the washing machine ok but drying them is a nuisance. Im always trying to prop them up against radiators attempting to get them washed and dried before bedtime comes round again!
I have got these. The padding and base are removeable and the cover goes in the washing machine and dryer...very good.

Thanks very much woofgang. I'll have a look at their website.

woofgang - I emailed the website and they replied straight away saying that they don't recommend any of their beds being tumble dried!
how odd....the covers on mine get done about every two months with no ill effects.

Woofgang – I have been talking to a few dog bed manufacturers recently and I reckon lots of them say that the beds aren’t tumble dryer safe just to err on the side of caution. I know that due to the fabric used in some of them that they could become damaged by tumble drying, but lots of other ones would be fine surely?
I like the beds with high cushioned sides because our house can be draughty at floor level, but I hate the hassle of having to get them dried again before bedtime.
Would you mind giving me the names or sending me a link to the specific beds that you use?
Thanks.

Ah, hang on I have just re-read your answer woofgang and noticed that you said the covers. Is it just the covers you wash or the whole bed? I would want to be able to throw the whole bed into the wash and tumble dryer.
It's probably the stuffing in the bed base and sides that causes the problems with the tumble drying.
shivvy, why would you want to wash the stuffing? I couldn’t wash the whole bed anyway because they are huge and would not fit in the machine unless the sides and base were removed.

I like washing the whole bed so that it doesn't become stale and a bit funky! Does everyone not wash the whole bed if it is fabric??!
The beds I have must be smaller than yours because they fit in my washing machine. These are the ones I use. They look nice and the dogs love them . . .

shivvy, my dogs wouldn’t get one bum cheek in those! I have never been able to get a whole dog bed in my washing machine or dryer. I find that washing the covers and lining rugs keeps the beds fresh.
My girls have had Zippy Dog beds for years and they love them, easy to wash and dry.The lining is washed separately to the cover ,then just zip back together simple. High sides keep them warm and cosy. They have website and you can buy new on e bay.
These are in Aldi from tomorrow (23rd)....
