A rare lunar rainbow - or moonbow - has been photographed in the skies over northern England.

Some nice pictures.

I saw a moonbow a few years ago and was told it's very lucky to see them. The one I saw must have been one of the, even rarer ones, the unlucky moonbow, bought a few tickets but didn't win anything on the lottery.
Lovely.
Awesome! Thank you.
Another mis nomer, a rainbow is so called because sunlight shines through rain. It is not called a Sunbow. So even reflected sunlight from the moon is called a rainbow.
