All of a sudden he has found himself surrounded with a group of multi million pound new signings. The manager obviously brought in the new players with the view to building a better team.
If Rooney sits on the bench every week an doesn't kick a ball he will receive £250,000 a week as per contract plus approx. £50,000 a week from merchandising untill the end of his contract when he is 33.

That's £15 million a year... he is 30 at the moment .. my heart bleeds.
