Have just found today my treatment for (may have to go down that route of implants)

They are coming to £4,800.

Now I do have the money but it is lot to me so I don't know whether to pay it off and get rid of it or break the payments down in to a payment plan - you know speculate to accumulate.

What would you do. thanks

What happens when the gum recedes as it almost certainly will?

Thanks for your answer Woofgang. Amazingly she said my bone density is very very good - must be the only good thing in my mouth.

she can start away. I do have faith in her and do have a dental relationship with her so if I were to try elsewhere it would take ages to build confidence up with that person.

The more I research £4,800 is reasonable ok. She is definitely one of the top dentists in Northern Ireland and I don't say that lightly. So maybe with the reassurance of you lot I'll go for it - but I'll take my time.
hc it doesn’t matter. The post that the tooth sits on is implanted into the jawbone, not a tooth socket. Provided you follow good ordinary dental hygiene so you don’t get an infection under the gumline then the tooth will outlive you. My dentist reckons that a clean cared for receded gum is better than a less receded gum that is pocketed and can harbour infection.

no the more I feel re NHS and private - I private for the Toffee effect (private) - now I am considering the route of NHs Toffee effect - isn't the same effect.
Question Author
That last post was a bit iffy - thinking all night and saying to myself - if I am getting the "toffee" sensation anyway with denture - why just go after all the years and expense of it AND go down the NHS route - aren't I just going to get the same effect. Yes I do know you don't get the the lumpy thing (plate) with the implants. But I have another 2 weeks to make up your mind.

When I researched as you do there are many options, like fixed bridge, removable bridges, but I find if my body is stressed with fibromyalgia some-how my face and teeth get it too - so after "said implants" - I will still be in pain.

I am using tea tree oil from H&B and tabbing onto the sensitive gums and it gives me great ease.
