It does appear that there are major issues which revolve around the sheer scale and size of the enquiry, and those have dogged and delayed its commencement since its inception.

I believe it will have to be scaled back to a manageable level, or at the very least, split into individual enquiries which can run in tandem.

It is clear that the ambition of the original idea - while laudable in intent - was simply not thought through properly, and the issues discovered in its management will remain until their are assessed properly, and dealt with properly - however long that is going to take.

Best get started now and try to salvage some shreds of credibility from the whole shambles.
Rumour are that he was planning to resign, which would have been politically embarrassing.

The Inquiry has always looked like it had been set up to fail. Every development seems to confirm that.

The guilty parties are always dead or dribbling by the time anything is 'done' by their friends and protectors.

A farce.

I think that is a serious over-simplification of a complex and difficult issue. Yes, some may be beyond the reach of the law, but many will not, and justice must be pursued.

It's just not going to happen, is it?
I agree with dougie....this bloody Inquiry is a farce.
If you all recall Theresa May appointed three yes three chairpersons for this enquiry, not once has she been made accountable for her choices, indeed even going outside Britain to secure a suitable candidate, who has decided she does wish to attend an enquiry to explain her real reasons for leaving, now the latest news today. Will this enquiry ever be heard,? I think not. Too many people " of the establishment " have reputations to protect.
Theresa May cannot really say
"yes every damn fool who said we cant do it is right - we cant do it"

I mean it is a money cow for all the many lawyers
and I reckon like the Judge thy have been taking their fees and getting on with some other fee paying stuff ....

I mean everyone knows it is great work - if you can get it
only a lucky few can
Peter Pedant - //I mean everyone knows it is great work ...//

Is it?

Delving into child abuse for years?
