Mel, you pay for overweight cases, the difference, the cases are in the Hold, why should you be crammed in your seat when you have paid for a certain amount of comfort, a lot choose to be overweight call it what you like, they should pay for the discomfort of the passenger they sit next to, Simple.
Maybe the airlines should have a range of sizes of seats - Supermodel/AB Members size and then obese size.

Seems almost everyone here has managed to sit next to the largest person they've ever seen with the worst BO - what are the chances of that?
As many on here Mam, we have flown long distances without issues, but I would without doubt make an issue of it if either myself or my wife was crammed into our seat, the planes sats are not designed just to suite large people, I don't think that feasible to expect any airline company to Redesign their planes just for the sake of a few, if the large person wants comfort, let them pay for two seat I don't see why others should suffer being cramped.
