Anyone Clever With Photo Wizardry ??

Don't know if it's even possible to do at home but I took a family photo on Sunday and one person was missing but I got a photo of him the day before. Would love to somehow add him to the group photo- is it impossible for me to do at home??

It's perfectly possible it's tricky to get right unless you've had plenty of practice at similar tasks beforehand. There can be problems getting the additional part of the image to look as if it's not simply been cut out from a photo with scissors and then glued on. (You'd need to use some 'feathering'). Similarly getting the lighting on the added image to match that on the original one can be quite tricky.

You'd either need Photoshop or the nearest free equivalent, GIMP:

They refer to Photoshop but the same technique should work in GIMP.
