Met Office 27 degrees and full sun here (just looked it up)

Reality Thunder and lightening, about time all funding to the Met Office was stopped since they clearly cannot tell what the weather will be like in the current let alone the future!

S. Worcs. - thunder, lightning and very heavy downpours since noon. Beating the crab apples off the tree.
So is youngmafbog the only not getting sunny and hot? That's tough luck, but the truth is British weather can be very localised.

Are you sure you looked up the correct region?
The Weather today has been much as was predicted, Yes, heavy rain and thunderstorms but lots of dry, sunny weather as well. It is beautiful now.

But I am not sure what difference it make who is giving the forecast, as all the data comes from the same source in the end.
I have few complaints with the bbc's hour by hour forecast on their weather app for my postcode.

Tends to be very accurate.
I wish jno. Forecast is 26º for Thursday.
Not been as hot as forecast but it's been a very nice warm Indian summer day here in N Notts.
The humidity is the worst thing. And it's going to be a long hot humid itchy night.
I can't remember the last time it rained. Dry in Essex but next door in Suffolk they had a downpour recently.
Been glorious here. So, a bit variable as usual, eh!
