I thought the Tories were the "nasty party" - looks like Labour are giving us a hammering on that front!

The far left loves a bit of orchestrated bullying and purging of treacherous bad apples. 'Twas ever thus.
Echoes of Stalin? Just declare someone an enemy of the people then zap!
Why do you think it's a red flag?

Doesn't show the blood !!

yeah didnt Trotsky purge the Red Army 1920
lose to Stalin 1924
and then get purged himself hur hur hur with an ice pick 1940 ?
You can't have a glorious revolution without a bit of purging Peter. Currently the most hated thing to be is a 'blairite'. If you're one of those the followers of 'Jeremy' hate you more than if you're a Tory.

quite right YMB, altogether now.......the peoples flag is deepest red.....
The working class can kiss my ass
I got the foreman's job at last.
You can tell old Joe I'm off the dole
He can stick his Red Flag up his 'ole!.
Iain McNicol is a disgrace and needs to be sacked asap.

For the leader of the Party National Executive to go to the high court to prevent 130,000 members (who he is supposed to represent) from voting is an instantly sackable offence. He has put his own interest in front of the job he paid to do.
//Iain McNicol is a disgrace //

would such a pronouncement justify thuggery, Gromit?
Mushroom,
No one has done any thuggery toward Iain McNicol. But they have robustly declared that he is useless (which he clearly is) and that he should be 'cleared out'. If you are bad at your job be prepared to take some flack. If you anger 130,000 members by resorting to the judiciary, don't be suprised if they turn around and bite you. I expect he will retire rather that facing a humiliating defeat he he were to seek re-election.
