My 7 year old Tabby cat had his annual booster Thursday and yesterday I noticed a sizable amount of fur was missing from the nape of his neck at injection site. Today it's worse. This has never happened before. Apart from that, he seems fine. Have any of you with cats ever experienced the same?

I would check with the vet who administered the booster.

I'll ring him Monday Danny. I know when I used to administer drops on nape of neck for fleas, similar happened then but fur grew back after a week or so.
It's probably nothing to worry about, but better safe than sorry.
My black twins each have a small area on the back of their neck which dates back to when they had their microchip inserted. The male cat's (he's short-haired) is bare, and his sister's (long-haired) is white but furry. It doesn't cause either of them any trouble, but no-one is sure how or why it happened.

I did read on line that it can happen sometimes after booster, but should grow back. Thanks.
