Just after getting Maxie groomed in vets.

Asked about insurance and was told to go for lifetime insurance with Pet plan.

Erm - have found Tesco insurance cheaper per month but no lifetime insurance mentioned - just pay as per sickness. Anybody care to enlighten me if this insurance is ok. don't remember Harvey's insurance being problematic but then again that was 12 years ago (when started).

I am going to go for a bit more basic insurance but not lifetime.
Good. That is what I would do in your circumstances.
I had problems with Tesco and moved to NFU. Tesco add things to your policy for free one year and charge for them the next year. I had a dog who had 2 lumps removed, 1 was just a fatty lump and the other was an ingrowing hair. They tried to charge me 2 excesses as it was 2 different issues. I argued and won but was disgusted and didn't renew my policy. Wouldn't touch them again
I'm with Tesco and stuck with them as my dog has an ongoing condition. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I very much wanted an insurance company to be beside where I live so that I can see them - so this is great - as I still haven't insured Maxie. Will hoke about here and then go see them on Monday. Thanks for that.
jj as you haven't done it yet, here is a link to the 5 Top Rated Insurance companies for animals. Tesco doesn't do too well but Argos does better. The Top two are Petplan and John Lewis. Any one of the five should do you nicely I would think.
